This week I am getting an almost complete kitchen remodel in my house. New counters, cabinet fronts, back splash, and cook top/oven. To attempt to not get in the workmen their way continually, I picked up something I didn’t need to focus on. Something I have been working on for a long time, only because it was started as a take along project before I got into socks… That is how long ago! But on Friday the counter tops came and this was the result:
I finished about half that on Friday, the rest I had already finished previously. The pattern is called Columns of Greece, and I made it using 4-ply worsted weight 100% cotton, Peaches & Cream to be precise, in the light blue color way. It will be used as a dishcloth in my new kitchen. It was fun to make, enough variety in the pattern that I had to keep paying attention, but very simple, only using knit and purl.
Today I think I will try using Oregon as a distraction. The cabinet people are here.
